AHH. I leave tomorrow. Freakin tomorrow. Double freaking tomorrow. I
am so excited besides the fact that I am not even close to finish packing.
ME SO LAZY. And I am not looking forward to the 20-something long hours
flight there either. Once that is over, it's paradise for a month :) I am now
getting ready to go to Mainstreet for my boob's party...yes, that's Ellie.
We're beading! HAHA, OH and I went driving yesterday. Ok I'm not gonna
lie but I freaked out at first then got used to it. I swear if there were cars
there, I would have ran over all of them. Seriously. Then I drove home.
Ah excitingness. Ok I'm gonna stop here, I sound kind of retarded being all
excited for a mere drive even though it's like a daily thing for most people.
I was gonna go driving again today but then the sky decided to pour giant
buckets of water. Buckets and buckets...or maybe the clouds were just too
heavy. It's been raining everyday since the day school ended. I hope the
weather in Malaysia isn't as crappy as it is over here. But then again, living
in like a "desert" isn't too amazing anyway. So maybe a little bit of
droplets here and there but nothing too drastic. Back to the trip. Words
can't describe how much I am looking forward to seeing Karin and Aly and
like everyone else besides them. Dude it's been more than 2 whole
freaking years and friendships usually don't last when we're separated for
this long. But thankfully for the amazing modern
technology(internet/facebook), we keep in touch everyday! I wonder what
it'll be like to be back to my old asian life again...I guess we'll just have to
see. 2 days.
I can't wait for Saturday. I will finally be leaving! I've been anticipating this for 2 years
now and I can finally feel it...aaaahhhh! But the only thing that bothers me is this
stupid new Malaysian rule: "Everyone who travels from the United States or Australia
to Malaysia are AUTOMATICALLY quarantined(locked up for 7 days) at home"
MOTHAA EFFF. But really, we have the advantage since we don't really look like
Americans. I can easily blend in with the gazillion number of asians I'd find. At least
until I start talking...HAHAHAHAHAHA.
So you would think that I am completely care free for the last few days before I leave
but no. I have so much to do. So much that's planned. Today, some people are
coming over to hang out and tomorrow, I am going over to Elizabeth's place to do
some last minute talk+hang out before I leave. And then on Friday, I'm going to
somewhere in Main Street with Ellie and some friends to celebrate her birthday. Then
on Saturday morning, I'm gonna have to get ready for my uber long plane ride. And I
haven't even thought of packing yet!
My mom's like "you can't bring too much stuff since we all know you're gonna blow
off money in Malaysia", Which is true...but what on earth am I supposed to leave
behind!? AH.
YES I FINISHED WHATEVER I DID! If you don't know what I'm talking
about then you're:
1) Not one of my friends
2) Zoning out when I was telling you
3) I hate you
4) I forgot to tell you
5) I don't feel like you needed to know
6) You don't happen to be one of my friends living in the US of A. In that
case, FACEBOOK ME.
OKAY. I'm having a "Tan while eating on Melissa's deck" party this
Thursday. Haha, I just kinda slapped it together cause I really needed a
reason for people to come over to see my new SHAZAM. And also because
I'm leaving for a whole freaking month this Saturday so I might as well
see my girls for one last time because LET'S FACE IT, once I step off the
airplane and into Malaysia, I'd forget EVERYTHING that happened here for
the past 2 years. Yes, I mean all I'd be able to think about is my friends
back there and food and shopping and the overbearingly amazing tan I
would get. I can't text/call anyone from over here when I'm gone and
internet connection is close to impossible. Living in my grandparents
house, it would be more than a miracle if somehow, I got access to the
internet. So the only way I'd be able to is when I'm at KARIN CHONG'S
HOUSE which would probably be like every other weekend or something.
But no worries, a month would fly by and before I know it, I'm on the
plane coming back here with lik 19 more days before the start of my
sophomore year. EW. Speaking of which, I haven't exactly gotten close to
finishing homework.
Note to Aly: If you're reading this, I need you to know that I am super
jealous of the fact that you are already in KL and that the agonizing plane
flight is over for you. I love you and I will see you in exactly one week.
I just figured out the most exciting thing today. I am going to paint one wall in my room with zebra
stripes. YES. And Rachel is gonna come over tomorrow to help me with it. Haha, I have had the
most awkward ideas this past few days. Oh and I'm also planning to get this wall hanging nail
polish rack to display all my nail polishes. There's just too many for me to fit it in like a box and I
figured I should just display it on my wall. YES? NO? YES OF COURSE!
So today I went out to lunch with Rachel at Panera Bread. Delicious. Yum. She updated me on
her trip to Italy and I updated her about...well, every detail I suppose. Then we went to Ulta and
I took forever to pick out another nail polish. I mean hello! There's like abundant options for me
to pick from and I only wanted to buy one(I'm kind of broke fyi).
Tomorrow is a day to look forward to. The day I zebra-fy my room. It's the touch I need so my
room is more "Melissa".
I thought, what the heck? I might as well start doing homework since I
promise my mother I would finish it before we leave in like 12 days. I
didn't think it would be that hard until I got to researching the
Revolutionary War. OMG! There's a shitload of information to research
about and I am almost 100% positive we do NOT need to know all of that
to move on with life. I mean what's wrong with the history teachers
nowadays? It's already bad enough to assign homework over the summer
which by the way is nice and warm so pretty much EVERYONE would much
rather tan than do homework. But anyway, I sat here for 2 hours straight
researching all these events and I got nowhere. Good job. I only managed
to research 5 events and there's another 21 more to go. Ok ew?
Homework blows. Imma go eat.
So me, Jennie, Allison, Elizabeth, and Sam went swimming at Sunset Pool
today. It was nice until the sun decided to let itself be kidnapped. Then
raincame pouring down not long later. If only the sky would stop being
such a @#$%^& and think of others!
I have recently came to my senses that I have never had a burger ever. I thought I had.
But really, they were sandwiches. I couldn't tell the difference before...now I can.
SHOOTSICLES! I have never had a hamfreakinburger in my life. That is about to
change this summah baby! And to think that I was criticizing Karin for never having
one before. Turns out, I haven't either.
Note to self: SANDWICHES ARE HEALTHIER THAN HAMBURGERS !
So...crazy thing. A couple days ago, my aunt told us she had a dream bout my daddy
arriving in the US for the first time. And 2 nights ago, my mom had a dream bout him
coming in our house and just "looking around". It was weird cause my mom came to a
conclusion that his "soul" arrived in the US to look out for us. Ya, I thought she was
crazy UNTIL LAST NIGHT. I HAD A DREAM ABOUT HIM walking in my room and
then my sister's and he was like "wow, I bought you guys a nice house". And I swear, I
woke up this morning going all "HOLY CRAP, HE'S HERE!!!" Hahaha. I guess that's
a good thing.
THINGS TO LOOK FORWARD TO:
- Swimming with mi amigos this Saturday.
- Going to Auntie Wendy's house this Sunday.
- The sun to reappear.
- Malaysia on the 27th in exactly 16 days.
I HAVE A PASSION FOR FOOD. NO, SERIOUSLY.
Yes. 20 days until I return home to Malaysia. Well, I wouldn't exactly say returning
"home" cause technically that's not my home. But my girlies are back there so screw
the 20-something hour long plane ride! BRING IT ON. I would say the next 20 days
before I hop on the plane would be the longest 20 days ever. Yes, longer than the last
20 days before school ended.
Summer is pretty much betraying me right now na na na na. I mean good god, look
outside and all I see is oodles and bundles of oversized gray fluffs(yes, I mean
clouds). Where the hell is my love(the sun)?
Neways, the past like 2 weeks I've been too lazy to even turn on my computer...hence
not blogging. I've only been facebook mobile-ing. It's so much easier that way. And
basically it was nothing but boringness for the past 2 weeks. I went to the Kissfm
summer bash concert with Iana and Alejandro and DROOLED OVER WE THE
KINGS AND PLAIN WHITE T'S. HOMG! Haha, Iana and I had an exceptional LOVE
for Matt Nathanson. Him and his ice cream speech. Don't we al love ice cream? I
know you don't get it...you're only gonna get it if you were at the concert :) And
yesterday, we had brunch at CPK and went to flatirons after that. I blew $252 bucks!
Aah, I hate ALWAYS spending so much on Sundays but heck, it makes me happy.
Just watch my trip back to Malaysia be nothing but buying crabs all day long.
Jennifer Casey Poole, Allison Souhrada, Ellie Marie Daw, and Lindsey Belaga WENT
TO ELITCH'S yesterday. Dangit I wish I could've gone. But we just might so
swimming @ Sunset pool this coming Sunday. Hopefully. OH YEAH, and
JENNIE, I finally bucked up my deepest inner will to
buy those fantamazing zebra shorts from Target. Yes,
and I got it! be proud.
